Clubmark

The Bulldogs were only the second Basketball Club in Merseyside and the second club in the Wirral to gain Sport England Clubmark back in 2004. Since then we have successfully re-accredited twice.

In becoming accredited and retaining it, we are consistently demonstrating that we provide a safe and secure environment for our members (the safeguarding and protecting part, which is general across all sports) while also developing our members as players, coaches, referees and table officials (the basketball part). We are proud of our coaches and internationals as evidence of development of our members.

In 2009 we have organised courses for Level 1 Referee and Level 1 Table Official (at which several young members of the Everton Tigers and other local basketball players also qualified) and shall also be running the Apprentice Coach course for our early teenagers and parents.
